Pirates of the carribean

Brief:

The project brief for this project was to take any action film we wanted, and choose a 30-second to a minute section to it and incorporate some kind of 3D element to it.

I will try to create a small sequence that mixes live action with maya derived animation, props and buildings.

The Film sequence I have decided on is The Pirates of the carribean, curse of the black pearl. Chapter 3 where we see Jack for the very first time and he sails in on a sinking ship.

I plan to add in two characters, both using the rig of moom. The first will be within the boat with jack either helping to bail out jack or to bail in the water, then he will copy jack when paying respect to the dead pirates.

In the backgrounds I will try to composite either a big ship or big buildings and skyscrapers into the background.

For this I will be using Maya and To composite I will use after effects, I only know the basics so I will be able to get to know the package a bit more.

I have decided to use an already rigged character (moom), so I can concentrate on just the animation.
